The ITV FIFA World Cup 2026 studio created by BK Design Projects and Lightwell has been featured on Newscaststudio.com (NCS).
It’s great when our work appears on any article or newsfeed, but it’s particularly sweet to be featured on NCS as they focus on design, whilst other news sites tend to focus on the tech. The tech is important – it’s what makes it all happen, after all – but design is the soul of every project. Creativity is what engages viewers emotionally, and bring’s a presentation to life – as true for virtual sets, as it is for physical sets. That’s what we are passionate about, and why we care about creating the best virtual design.

This idea of design equating to the soul of a production is especially true of the ITV World Cup studio. The view from the main presenting positions encompasses the Statue of Liberty, Manhattan, One WTC, The Brooklyn Bridge and in the distance you can even see The Empire State Building – it is a truly breathtaking location. The physical set has to work with this location, and ensure that all presentation requirements are achievable with style and finesse. The virtual elements of the set then need to both complement and enhance the physical elements of the set and location. Furthermore, they have to be prepared with such skill and creativity that they are without question, part of the same world – they must be perceived to be really there, experiencing the same weather, lighting and times of day. That’s where the true value of what Lightwell can do for a project is to be found and enjoyed.
