ITV Sport Virtual Set

Detail from the Unreal Engine build of the ITV Sport set.

This versatile virtual studio, designed in collaboration with Toby Kalitowski at BK Design marked our first project for ITV Sport. The virtual set is designed with three seperate presenting positions contained within one single interior space. The different spaces offer different styles of presenting to suit the range of sports within ITV Sports portfolio. The design launched in Spring 2023 with ITV’s coverage of Six Nations Rugby, and has since gone on to host multiple different sports including La Liga, FIFA Womens World Cup, UEFA Nations League, and the Rugby World Cup.

Later that year, modifications were made to the design to accomodate coverage of the Rugby World Cup, set in France. A full bay was removed from the exterior wall to create an opening onto a balcony structure presenation space, overlooking a Parisian roofscape. The Parisian scene was created entirely in Unreal Engine 4.26.

By removing a bay in the outer wall, we created an opening to which we added a balcony presentation space, overlooking a Parisian rooftop scene.
