BBC Sport Football – Virtual Sets, Part 1 of 4

2023 was a very busy year for me. One of the most high profile projects I delivered, was a suite of virtual sets for BBC Sport’s football coverage. Designed with Toby Kalitowski, and built in Unreal Engine, powered by Zero Density’s Reality Engine, we created designs for Match of the Day, Football Focus, Final Score and Match of the Day 2. The separate spaces are contained within a single virtual building, but each space is dressed and lit to suit the different characteristics of each show. The first of these shows, Football Focus, is a magazine style format, comprising interviews, reviews, previews and discussions about the weeks football and footballing topics.
